Admissions Procedure

Entrance Test

An entrance test is scheduled every Monday from 9:30am to 2:30pm. The test involves one paper in English, one paper in Mathematics and possibly one paper in Science. The duration of each paper is about 2 hours and will cover content directly related to the preceding level of study to admission level. Each applicant will also be interviewed following the completion of the written papers.
Note: Students with PSLE, ‘O’ Level or IGCSE qualifications from the previous year will not normally be required to sit the entrance test. However, they still need to undertake the oral interview.

Acceptance

Successful applicants will be issued an acceptance letter for their acknowledgement and a schedule of fees payment. The first fees instalment paid should cover the first semester (non-refundable), deposit and miscellaneous fee.

After acceptance, overseas applicants should travel to Singapore on a visitor’s visa to apply for their student pass. Upon arrival, the applicant will work with their Guardian to launch the Student Pass Application, purchase uniform and textbooks, and arrange for accommodation or boarding.

To plan ahead, applicants are encouraged to complete the Student Pass Application prior to arrival. Forms can be downloaded from the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority of Singapore.

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

A warm welcome to ACS (International)! You are joining a great school with many opportunities and challenges extended to every student to help them achieve their potential. We are very proud of the many features which make us special, including our strong academic performance in the IGCSE and IB Diploma international curricula, the equal mix of local and international students and staff, giving us the best of both worlds and the all-round holistic education underpinned by our dual Christian and ACS heritage.

We regard ourselves as a family. The concept of family is important to all cultures and in this diverse and inclusive school we look forward to supporting, encouraging and challenging all students to achieve to their potential in every aspect of school life. We are confident that you too will enjoy being a part of the ACS (International) family and we wish you every success in achieving your hopes, dreams and goals. We look forward to a strong partnership between home and school and to seeing parents and guardians at the various school functions.

We believe in effective two-way communication with parents and guardians, and we have developed a number of systems to support this process. These include email contact, monthly newsletters, formal term reports, and two parent-teacher meetings per year. We encourage parents and guardians to contact the school to share student successes, inform us about absences, ask questions and make comments. We ask that parents, guardians and students inform the school office promptly if you have a change in contact details. For general enquiries, please email us at enquiries@acsinternational.com.sg.

This page contains much information to assist the smooth running of the school. Please read carefully to ensure the maximum success at school.

ACS (International) graduates are confident, successful, and well prepared for the future. They will have a positive and increasingly significant impact in local, national and international contexts.

We look forward to working together with you in “Building through Belief”. The Best Is Yet To Be!

Yours sincerely,
Rob Burrough
Principal
